Sam Ribnick is a Vice President at A-Street. He has spent his career helping education leaders use data, research, and new tools to solve problems and make better decisions. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Education-to-Career Research and Data Hub, where he led the launch of a statewide open data platform, helped agencies build shared data systems and governance, and supported the development of AI tools to make public data easier to use. He also led the development of Massachusetts’ innovative science assessment, helping to design and scale a new, interactive test to better measure deeper learning and support more equitable outcomes for students.
Earlier, Sam advised school districts and state agencies as a Senior Director at District Management Group, taught physics in Boston Public Schools as a Teach For America corps member, and worked at Boston Consulting Group. Across these roles, he has focused on high standards, rigorous use of data, and better opportunities for all students. Sam holds a B.S. in Physics from MIT and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his family.
